Come bring all the pieces of your heart and sit with us feature drawings of Linda’s hands. Linda is a volunteer and I met her during a month long residency, for nine international artists based at The Arthouse, Wakefied in conjunction with Wakefield City of Sanctuary. The residency gave us an opportunity to learn about asylum seeker systems in the UK, the fate of refugees who are held or reside in the city and their journey towards finding a safe and stable home. It also introduced us to extremely hard working and compassionate people who, with limited support, help refugees. Linda is one of them
