Nothing’s Ever Wasted
2020
Created during the second lockdown, Nothing’s Ever Wasted, builds on ideas inherent in an earlier work: Beauty Cleanses the Mind. Both use photography as a way to capture flowers and then share them widely. Both also use flowers grown in my garden and chosen for their hidden meanings in the language of flowers tradition.
This work includes 5 types of pressed and scanned flowers. They are:
Love in the Mist – Perplexity,
Honeysuckle – Happiness,
White Rose – Innocence,
Saliva – Health
Hydrangea – Grace
