It was not intended that the process is repeatable, but that a container is constructed… in which desire can flourish, absent of leadership. P.Sanger
This action-based research project, in collaboration with Phil Sanger and Georgia Cooper, built on a visiting artist commission I undertook at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds. A project that considered how experimental drawing could inform and generate ideas for dance. Always go too far… explored these ideas further, enabed a collaboration that took our drawing/dance/therapy specialisms and the theme Reverie as catalyst.
We used improvisation and process-led approaches and came to understand how the physical acts or objects produced are often secondary to the experience felt. Learning that continues to inform our individual practices and roles as facilitators.
