Let it go

2008–ongoing

Let it go is an artwork that only exists on Instagram @foundballoons. It is a collection of phone photos of balloons found (mostly) on the family farm in Lincolnshire. Some of the balloons have writing on or are part of competitions, some have tags, others are just escapees. Wherever they originate or reason for travel they end up caught in the hedges, entangled in crops and floating in fields.

@foundballoons is featured in Japanese artist Hidekatsu Konishi’s publication 7 weeks. Which is described as :Your daily life photos from all over the world have come together to make a great book. Regardless of the country or region you live in, the climate, the culture and the politics, we are living our precious daily lives.
