Hosted in unique spaces F.E.A.S.T. [Farming. Environment. Agriculture. Sustainability. Tabled] brings people together and encourages debate by linking social, environmental, scientific and cultural thinking in an artful way. Created with my sister Liz, a scientist and agricultural consultant, in response to the lack of understanding across sectors. F.E.A.S.T. builds on our individual specialisms and our roles as farmers.
F.E.A.S.T always incorporates the following elements:
A weekend take-over of a unique community based venue.
A curated exhibition relevant to F.E.A.S.T themes, open across the weekend, that enables audiences to meet the exhibiting artist and enjoy a free afternoon tea.
A collaboration with cooks who create a dinner which offers a social atmosphere and an opportunity to exchange ideas.
Each meal is opened with a specific provocations from both the arts and science.
We welcome guests with a wide range of interests, backgrounds and specialisms.
Locally sourced ingredients, including surplus food are used in the production of plant and animal-based dishes.
Due to Covid F.E.A.S.T is currently paused. As an alternative we have offered F.E.A.S.T on ideas. A free, Zoom based, facilitated conversation that focuses on the local, sustainability, food security and the role of culture.
