I just enjoy it for what it is was a temporary installation at Leeds Art Gallery made in collaboration with 320 people over 4 days.
Each flower was constructed with care and sensitivity by folks aged 2 to 75 using plastercine, sticks, paper scraps and wire. People arranged their flowers in the
Commonware pots and my found vase collection before selecting the right position within the vast space.
I enjoy how the work speaks of our innate natural knowledge, love of colour and a desire to play with materials unfamiliar or nostalgic to us.
